Symbolic Self-portrait Painting

Time: 10.30am – 12.00pm

Duration: 90 minutes

The young artists will briefly observe some self-portraits by famous artists like Vincent van Gogh and Frida Kahlo in preparation for painting a self-portrait on a canvas!

They will include symbols in the background to represent their personality and interests, and use colour to symbolise how they are feeling. The basic proportions of the face will be taught in this workshop, and the students will gain a basic understanding of mixing skin colours.
